Day 3: Side Effects Arrive

Day 3: Side Effects Arrive

Well, the good news is that I'm still feeling pretty okay after 3 days of radiation.

I can say, though, side effects are creeping in. After treatment today, my lovely sister was kindly driving me home when a sudden bout of nausea hit. Now, I hadn't eaten anything yet, but I had consumed in the neighborhood of a half gallon of water. It's possible the 115 degree weather contributed. At any rate, we were able to pull over in time, and throwing up water was about the most pleasant thing to throw up...if you have to throw up.

I've also been exhausted the last 2 days. Maybe the trip to Target and today's pedicures wore me out more than usual, but yesterday, I slept through 2 1/2 hours of a 3 hour documentary series. Today, I was ready to nap during my foot massage. I turned down sushi to come home and nap. That's serious exhaustion right there.

Aside from that, I'm trying to ward off the radiation burn, dry skin, etc. with a lot of Aquaphor and very gentle soap.
